Do we just sell Chili?

No! You will be trained in all types of Cajun cuisine and Southern Comfort Food.  Supplement your profits with sales from items that work in your market.  You could include breakfast, sale of your own secret spices, teas, coffees, and more.  In addition toTheChiliHouse.com menu items, you choose what you sell.  The flexibility of our licensing program makes it easy to build a menu and business that works for you.

Franchise vs. License –

What you should know?

IS IT BETTER TO BUY A FRANCHISE?  We don’t think so.  As a licensee of TheChiliHouse.com, you are given the latitude to sell what you want at the price you want without jumping through a lot of corporate hoops.

CAN I SAVE MONEY? In most cases, it is absolutely less expensive to open  a TheChiliHouse.com  versus other fine dining concept franchises.  TheChiliHouse.com can deliver a fully equipped store, including all equipment, signage, deposits to landlords and construction costs for significantly less, usually $200,000 – $400,000.

HOW DOES THE ADVERTISING WORK?  Most franchisers say that you should buy their franchise because of the power of their advertising.  While this is a plus- you end up paying from your profits – sometimes as much as 8% in advertising and royalty fees. TheChiliHouse.com is not a franchise and will not collect any advertising funds from you.  You decide what you want to spend. We will however, provide you with many graphics that you may use in your advertising plan.  We will also maintain a link to your site from our main TheChiliHouse.com website, and post to our site any special events you may have going in your store.    So, you see, you provide us with your information, specials, events, etc…and we will advertise over the World Wide Web for your store…free!

We provide on-site training prior to your Grand Opening and ongoing consultation for the term of your license.

ADVERTISING: TheChiliHouse.com does not collect an advertising fee and does not force you to spend a certain dollar amount each and every month in your local market. However, should you want advice or examples of what other stores are doing, we’re there to guide you every step of the way.

SUPPLIES AND INVENTORY: TheChiliHouse.com asks that you use our basic menu as a part of keeping the concept alive.  We will supply you with all of the items on the menu, straight from our kitchen in Mississippi, made from scratch. We believe that our price and service will earn your loyalty. However, you are encouraged to add your own specials and menu items, as well as retail items to your store that are in line with the tastes of your clients in your market.  Feel free to buy all other inventory, supplies, etc. from sources of your choosing.  This last sentence speaks volumes to the integrity of the relationship between you andTheChiliHouse.com.  No franchise will allow you to buy from whom you please and negotiate prices because you are locked into their contract for the duration of the agreement.  As a TheChiliHouse.com Licensee you have the ability to expand your business beyond the scope of our menu, to places that will set you apart as unique in your market area.  Trends are regional and you should be excited to have the leeway to expand your restaurant to meet the trends of your target market.  Your individuality is encouraged to make your TheChiliHouse.com a unique, delicious, and fun dining experience. Keeping true to the concept of Good Mood…Great Food!  promotes healthy profits and a rewarding life experience as a restaurant owner.

We, at the original TheChiliHouse.com look forward to a life long relationship with our Licensees.  We will always strive to provide the best service, product, and price for your money.  Working in partnership with our Licensees produces wonderful friendships and high profits for all.  God bless America!

Chilihouse Classics

All Entrees served with a House Salad and your choice of Garlic Toasted French Bread, “Miss Martha’s” Kickin’ Cornbread or Crackers.

“D!@# Good” Chili

This is the chili recipe that started it all. Given to us by Mrs. Myra Lewis, I feel she had no idea what kind of impact it would have on “the world!” Well lookie, lookie…It’s theChilihouse.com! Not too thick, not too thin. 100% Ground Chuck combined with 2 kinds of beans, onions, bell pepper, and cooked slow with Mrs. Lewis’ secret Southern seasonings. Hot or not…you choose. Some also like it topped with rice. Even better with chopped green onions and grated cheddar on top! Anyway, it’s “D!@# Good!”

New ‘Awlins Red Beans & Rice

Red beans, soaked, then simmered with smoked sausage, ham, freshly sauteed vegetables and true-blue Cajun spices.  Laid atop a bed of steamed white rice.  An outrageous Emeril Lagasse recipe!

Ubba’s Brunswick Stew

Our Grandmother’s Blue Ribbon Stew! Shredded Boston Butt and Chicken in a rich savory stew. Chocked full of butter beans, corn, onions, peppers, and tomatoes. Simmered forever. Ubba’s Brunswick Stew has been on our family’s table every Christmas that I can remember. This hearty stew will warm your bones (and your heart) on a cold wintery day!

Louisiana Seafood Bisque

This recipe was a gift from our good friend and excellent cook, Lisa Lampton. It has become a favorite of “TheChiilihouse.com” regulars. The recipe calls for Andouille, Shrimp AND Crawfish to be butter sautéed with bell pepper and onion and a blend of Cajun seasoning. To this is added half & half and Velveeta cheese (Oh my Gosh!). As if that weren’t enough to make you melt, new red potatoes are added and it is simmered ‘till you can’t stand it any longer (come on now, you have to let the potatoes get done!). Go ahead…God will forgive you!
$13.99

Zeus’ Seafood Gumbo

Our Mother’s nick-name (when she wasn’t listening) was Zeus. She was a very sweet woman with a very strong will! She never did anything half way, and when she was in her kitchen it was the best or nothing. So she was considered a god in our kitchen….sometimes full of smiles and jokes….other times raining thunder and lightning in her attempt at perfection, which she always attained before it was over with. Well, her seafood gumbo was the definition of perfection, and she passed the recipe on to us. It literally takes hours of constant attention to make this gumbo to her specifications…and we’d never make it any other way, Zeus….we promise! The recipe starts with a dark Cajun roux (that takes a little over an hour), then are added all of the onions, bell pepper, celery, okra, etc. (Cook about 1 ½ hours, stirring constantly) Add some of the seasoning. Stir, stir, stir. Add the rest of the seasoning and broth then let simmer for 3 hours, making sure to STIR! This recipe is stuffed with shrimp, crab, crawfish, and oysters and is divine beyond belief ! Our friends in New Orleans cry the blues for her secret recipe! This is the only item on our menu that we unconditionally guarantee. Can’t beat it.
